What is soft washing?
Soft washing is a specialised cleaning method that utilises low-pressure water combined with eco-friendly cleaning solutions to remove dirt, grime, mould, mildew, and other contaminants from surfaces.
What chemicals do you use, and are they harmful?
When it’s necessary to remove stubborn mould or algae on a range of surfaces, especially those that are often moist and shady, to both remove and keep the mould and algae away for longer by killing the bacteria, we use a mix that includes sodium hypochlorite as the active ingredient, and a surfactant (soap) as a binding agent to help clean and let the solution ‘dwell’ on the surface (especially if vertical such as house siding or walls). This mix becomes completely harmless when heavily diluted, so wherever necessary, we douse surrounding ground, grass, plants and other surfaces before we apply the mix, and after we wash the mix off, ensuring that all that remains is diluted to harmless levels – meaning no plants will be affected, and it’s completely harmless to pets or humans.
What is a ‘pure water system’ used for window cleaning?
Pure water window cleaning involves using purified water that has been stripped of all impurities to achieve a spotless clean. Our state-of-the-art system utilises advanced technology to deliver water that is free from minerals, chemicals, and contaminants, leaving your windows streak-free and crystal clear.
How much water do you use?
As it’s the cheapest and most efficient for clients for us to connect to their water supply, we’ll always look to do so. Our high pressure pumps can push out around 15 litres of water per minute, however, in most instances, like high pressure surface cleaning a driveway for example, as well as washing off, using water to wash a house, and/or window cleaning, we may use around the equivalent value of $10-$25 of cold water. If we were to truck in our own water supply, we would need to charge significantly more than this for clients. Our soft washing cleaning methods use relatively little water, and high pressure washing is very efficient in volume of water used versus effect.
Do you provide garauntees?
We are a client-first company, and will always communicate our method and what you can expect in results from your particular surface. We always employ a pre-job check routine, and during jobs, we ‘spot test’ certain methods on certain surfaces to make sure we have the right mix and method to get the best results. We’ll communicate that to you also, and we always do post job quality assurance checks to make sure we haven’t missed anything. If for some reason we have missed something, or something wasn’t able to be completed, then of course, just let us know and we’ll come back to complete the job as quoted.
